When I first saw the game it looked boring and the same as Mario Kart DS. How did I buy the game? Well, the thing is my PS3 was at Sony's repair shop and I expected it to arrive at my place today but because this is the holiday season, "Diwali", they said it will take sometime and that means it will take a week at least. I couldn't wait a week, could I? No.
So there was I in the shop ignoring the PS3 games and looking at the Wii's game which I usually ignore. I saw Mario Kart and thought I'd give it a try cause the DS version was a fun multiplayer game.
The game costs more then the average Wii game in India, because of the steering wheel accessory. Seeing the steering wheel, it looked more like a gimmick for people to buy the game. But the truth is, it's really fun and helpful to use. The B button on the steering wheel is comfortable to use while drifting.
The actual game has fun multiplayer and single player. Some track are from Mario Kart DS and some from the GameCube and N64. But the new Wii tracks are the most fun to play. This time there are bikes which are fun to ride. Graphics are like every Mario game, colorful and nice to look at. The Wii version looks very good in singleplayer but while playing multiplayer they look a little worse.
Gameplay is awesome. When I started playing it felt slow but after you get the hang of things, like drift-boosting on every corner, blasting people with shells, using boost items and leaving behind cool stuff for you opponent to crash in.
That's all for this droolin' review. I was gonna post this yesterday but Mario Kart is too addictive!
